The third annual Branch Out Snowshoe Tour raises over $40,000
More than 100 people braved the snow to fight neurological disorders!
February 26, 2017
More than 100 people (and 20 dogs!) showed up from Cochrane, Calgary and surrounding area to raise money for Calgary’s Branch Out Neurological Foundation raising more than $40,000 for neurological disorders such as autism, Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, dementia and concussions.
This family-friendly event (including your dog!) allowed participants to hike either a 5km or 10km route through the stunning forests surrounding the Fallentimber Meadery in Water Valley Alberta, just 50 minutes outside of Calgary.
There were rest stops, ice slides and photo booths, topped off with a pizza party at the finish line. Olympians Shannon Rempel and Emily Baadsvik along with former Calgary Stampeder Dimitri Tsoumpas also joined in on the fun.
“I’m proud to have created an event which not only raises funds for research but also promotes family time, philanthropy, health and awareness for neurological disorders.” Crystal Phillips, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Branch Out Neurological Foundation
