In 2010, Branch Out was founded on the premise of pushing the boundaries and committed to funding research that impact individuals living with neurological disorders.
Last year, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Calgary at Stampede Park, Branch Out helped fund a brand new transcranial magnetic brain stimulation (TMS) machine for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Centre for Child & Adolescent Mental Health.
“Essentially, TMS helps re-wire the boss of the brain,” says Dr. MacMaster. “This is a non-invasive way to make it work more effectively in order to control the symptoms of depression.”
Watch this incredible video on how TMS therapy is helping youth suffering from depression.
